Sooooo we have recently brought a line of packs to our store called "Obus Forme" just in time for the new school year, and just in time for everyone to leave the country in search of warmer weather. Obus forme was originally making bedding and engineering products to anatomically and ergonomically enhance people's lives. Now Obus forme has taken this science and jammed it into affordable and comfortable backpacks. The packs are for everybody from kids to experienced hikers and travelers.

But with back to school in mind here is a list of features on the day packs:

• Shoulder Clinch straps
  Let you pull the load tight to your body, making it easier to keep your back straight. Especially when full of books
• Side Compression Straps
  Compact the load and help to draw the pack tight to your body.
• Polyethylene Boards
  Composed of firm but flexible polyethylene to keep the back of the pack rigid to help support the load. A second PE Board on the bottom of the pack is angled up and towards the body to position the load close to your back.
• Sternum Strap
  Prevents the straps from slipping off your shoulders for a more comfortable fit.
• Contoured Shoulder Straps
  Cut for comfort and support to provide a better fit.
• Comfort Foam
  Thick foam padding on rear of the pack helps to relieve pressure points on your back while the built-in lumbar pad provides support to your lower back. A ventilation channel through the center of the foam allows air to flow through while eliminating pressure on the spine.
• Waist Strap
  Comfortably secures the pack to your body and prevents the load from shifting. Using the waist strap also helps to position the built-in lumbar pad for optimum lower back support

We have been carrying these particular hydration tablets from a company called NUUN, and so far the reviews have been nothing but stellar. NUUN tablets are essentially gatorade (or any sports drink) without all the liquid, powder and sugars. A single NUUN tablets dropped into a liter of water is absorb quickly into your body to provide optimal salt balance to prevent cramping and maximise hydration. They come in a variety of great flavors, from Lemon-lime, to Cola flavored. (Lemon lime and Berry are by far the best I have tried so far) NUUN has a light flavour that’s not overwhelming when you’re on the go. If you’ve ever watered down sports drinks because they’re too strong, then you’ve made them less easy to absorb; this ultimately defeats the purpose of using them. Some call the NUUN taste ‘tart’ and that’s probably the best description we’ve found yet, other than ‘just right’!

A friend of ours recently came back from Peru, where he was scailing mountains for many days. Ontop of the high level of acvtivity, stomach bugs, and poor water quality, the NUUN tablets really made a difference. Water may be the lifeblood of survival but what it doesnt give you is the electrolytes and salts that your body needs to hydrate itself. Having problems dealing with the foreign food, his bodily fluids were aching to get out, resulting in rappid dehydration. This is where the NUUN tablets saved the day. Aftering popping a few of the sugar free tablets into a liter of water he felt refreshed right away and could continue the climb, even after dealing with stomach problems and fatigue.

NUUN tablets arent just for hardcore adventurists, anyone can take them. Whether you go to the gym frequently, cycle, jog, even if you just dont drink enough fluids, pop a tab and your ready to rock. One of the best kept secrets for you party animals is NUUN. A hangover can ruin anyones day, but trust me, after a night of partying with friends, a nuun tablet in the morning really helps the ol' hangover headache. It only makes sense! Drinking results in dehydration, and your body cant soley depend on water, so why not give your water a boost and kick that hangover to the curb. I have personally used NUUN many times after a night out and it 100% does make a difference. It may not cure the gut-rot, but getting rid of the headache is one less problem when you have to work at 9 the next morning. A local bars staff and patrons could put our kids through college with the amount of NUUN tablets they buy up, so that tells you something about the effectiveness.

So, from hiking to hangovers, NUUN does its job and can turn your day around with a simple tablet.
